Experienced maintenance, and reliability leader with the knowledge and skills to improve and optimize processes and systems. Ron has worked as a project engineer, maintenance engineer, reliability engineer, reliability team leader and all levels of maintenance management.
Ron has gained knowledge and skills in the set up and application of computerized maintenance management systems to enable efficient and effective maintenance work. Specialist in the application of maintenance and reliability systems: SAP, Meridium, MAINTelligence and certified by SAP as a Plant Maintenance consultant. Configured and implemented the SAP Plant Maintenance Module for: Riverwood/Graphic Packaging paper mills (2) and paper converting plants(18); Afton Chemicals Singapore fuel additives plant
Reviewed the Afton Chemicals Houston plant P&IDs and designed an improved SAP equipment structure. Designed an expanded equipment structure with updated BOMs for the Celanese Narrows West Virginia plant.
Experienced in the application of reliability engineering techniques: RCA to solve problems, RCM to develop equipment management strategies, RAM analysis and Life Cycle Cost evaluation for engineering design decisions. Studied Reliability Engineering through the Monash University MMRE Graduate program. While a team member of the Georgia Pacific OPEX team, Ron led the procurement, configuration, training, and implementation of the Meridium system for 28 Paper Mills. This included managing a national training program in the use of PROACT RCA, RCM, and the Reliability Engineering tools in Meridium.
Facilitated team evaluation of Preventive Maintenance to upgrade mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment strategies at the Dupont Plant near Richmond, VA.
