Michael DePalma, Senior Partner
As Caravel’s senior maintenance and reliability specialist, Michael DePalma is an expert at conducting maintenance and reliability performance assessments and executing operational change management. He has led and successfully managed many large-scale transformation/organizational change projects engaging stakeholders at the shop-floor level.
Armed with over 20 years of experience he has contributed to the identification and capture of hundreds of millions of dollars of improved production uptime and reduced maintenance and capital spending for clients.
His experience includes maintenance department redesign and reorganization, evaluation, and consulting in the implementation of planning, scheduling, and materials coordination of maintenance work.
Michael believes stakeholder engagement is critical to the success of operational change. He works with leadership to facilitate and deliver stakeholder events developing presentations, training pipelines and gathering quantitative data through surveys.
Other areas of change management skills include leading and managing focus groups with leadership to prepare for organizational change, evaluation of workforce and staffing along with consulting of overall business needs, and other areas of opportunities that may be affected due to a business transformation.
Michael studied at Michigan State University and graduated from Federico Villareal University as a Mechanical Engineer. He lived in Lima, Peru with his wife and daughter for 10 years and recently moved back to the US. Michael is fluent in English (native) and Spanish.
